Young Tom Morris secured his second successive Open victory at a canter in 1869 and also claimed another slice of Championship history.

In the opening round of The 10th Open, Morris recorded the first hole-in-one in the Championship's history as his tee shot at the eighth found the cup.

Still only 18, Morris went on to triumph by an 11-stroke margin to emphasise his status as the best golfer of his generation.
