Player masters the 14th en route to second victory

Player triumphed by two shots from Jack Nicklaus and Bob Charles, having eagled the 14th in each of the last two rounds.

The South African's approach to the hole in the final round was one of the greatest shots of his career. A sweetly struck 3-wood into the wind left a putt of two feet and gave Player a welcome advantage for the closing holes.

As shown in the video above, Player was a picture of delight as he completed his victory and earned a fifth Major title.
